Foundation Developments Ltd. (FDL) appointed Cognition to carry out the enabling works at the White City Development in the heart of West London. The eight acre site is being redeveloped by Berkeley Homes and will provide up to 1800 new homes.  The scope of works included bulk excavation and the installation of the piling platforms required at 3 levels across Phase 2.

Cognition worked closely with FDL to provide a sustainable alternative to traditional imported crushed concrete pilling platforms. Cognition proposed a cement stabilised alternative utilising soils on site in lieu of disposal and designed a piling platform which far exceeded the load requirements.

Cognition have completed the initial phases of piling platform installation and is currently in piling attendance, working to a tight deadline alongside Rock and Alluvium Ltd.
