Cognition attends double whammy of conferences now that restrictions are easing

24 September 2021

Now that Covid restrictions have eased and face to face meetings and public gatherings are back on the agenda, the conference season is well and truly in full swing. Cognition has taken advantage of this situation and recently attended two leading industry conferences.

The annual conference of the Association of Geotechnical and Geoenvironmental Specialists was a cracking event attended by some 120 delegates with a packed programme of keynote speeches, industry reviews, topical presentations and working group updates.  Attended by our Technical Director, Andy O’Dea, we feel that this is a key conference for us to attend to keep abreast of industry technology, regulatory and policy updates.  It’s also a great way of meeting old colleagues and making new contacts in the industry.

Marketed as the UK’s leading event for contamination, geotechnical and environmental professionals and held at the NEC in Birmingham, the expo is a great platform for the industry to come together to share knowledge, technologies and ideas.  With over 50 presentations and 140 stands, this was an impressive demonstration of the continued strength of our industry in difficult times.  Based on the contacts made and the positive conversations held, Cognition is considering taking a stand at next year’s event.  Watch this space!

If you would like further information how we ensure we remain at the forefront of our industry and grasp opportunities to apply novel and innovative techniques and technologies for remediation and ground improvement, please contact our Technical Director, Andy O’Dea, on or 07833 873 065.
