Assistant Project Manager

Requirements

Reporting directly to a Contracts Manager, the purpose of the role will be to oversee the management of all operational aspects of the contract, ensuring completion of the work safely to time and budget.

The role will involve regular travel to Cognition operational sites, the frequency of travel will depend on the demands of the contract.

Ensure compliance with all Safety, Health and Environmental Regulations, Procedures and Plans.

Manage directly employed staff & sub-contractors.

Attend client program meetings & agree timelines in line with available resources.

The successful candidate must be educated to a minimum of degree level in a ground engineering, hydrogeology, or other relevant degree.

Previous experience of remediation project management is preferred.

Excellent interpersonal communication & people management skills.

Ability to prioritise and take initiative.

Excellent leadership & motivational skills, with the ability to forward plan, work under pressure & influence at senior level.

An understanding of current health & safety legislation approved codes of practice & guidance notes.

Clean driving licence and willingness to travel where required and work occasional evenings.
