31st October 2009 marks 1000 days until the start of the London Olympics. Sophie has continued to make progress this year and built on her position as the leading British lightweight rower at trials. Although it’s been a medal winning season with gold medals in Munich and Lucerne, winter training continues at a pace. Sophie’s training program includes a lot of time on the water together with cycling, weight training, yoga, stretching and strengthening routines. Combining training and her role as a Chemist results in a busy schedule but at least she now has two weeks training at camp in Majorca as a welcome change to strong winds and driving rain at home in London.
