Hurst Park Automobiles specialise in selling classic British cars of the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s. The business was founded in 1938 and has occupied current premises since early 1970. The petrol forecourt had been redundant for many years and the decision was taken to remove the fuel tanks and any resulting contamination. Cognition undertook work to dismantle the forecourt canopy, remove underground tanks, carry out bioremediation to resulting contaminated soils, install a small water treatment plant and provide environmental monitoring for a period of six months following completion of works.
