Sustainable landfill remediation
Cognition has successfully completed the remediation of a 20,000m3 former landfill site in Sheffield resulting in huge environmental and financial savings. Mixed commercial and industrial waste with significant hydrocarbon contamination was processed and remediated on site saving the client more than £1 million. Cognition maintained its commitment to sustainable remediation with only asbestos waste, plastics and metals (for recycling) having to be removed from site.
