30.05.11 Sustainable regeneration of former foundry siteCognition has remediated an agricultural machinery yard in Oxfordshire which is to be redeveloped for residential housing. Large areas of the Yard which has occupied the site for almost 100 years were built over large volumes of foundry sand and clinker deposited on the site to raise the land and protect it from flooding. 
19.05.11 Wisbech CEEQUAL Award ‘Very Good’Cognition has been awarded ‘Very Good’ CEEQUAL Award for the remediation works at the Nene Waterfront Regeneration in Wisbech. Cognition carried out remediation of soils and groundwater to regenerate a brownfield site in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire for future development as housing on behalf of Fenland District Council (FDC).

17.01.11 Diesel Leak at Manufacturer DealershipDiesel fuel had leaked from a fuel tank and underground boiler feed line to contaminate a minor aquifer at approximately 5m depth. The product had spread beneath the buildings on site and required removal.
