The works included asbestos removal from site, excavation, relocation and on-site treatment of Japanese Knotweed infested materials. Treatment of the Japanese Knotweed allowed the material to be reused at depth in the later phase of the works. Recycling coupled with technical expertise ensured that minimal quantity of materials were removed from, or imported to site. Materials recovered from the earthworks will be re-used within the highways element of the works.
